Composed in 1816 a young priest wrote a poem which was put to music and played for the first time in 1818 as “Stille Nacht” in my father’s homeland of Austria. It is one of my favorite Christmas songs . That first performance was on Christmas Eve in a Church service with a guitar, as the church organ was damaged by a flood at that time. Well, a few weeks ago Pat, myself & our friend Lyle Ronglien got the idea to make an Electronic Christmas Card together, which Lyle first shared on his online show this week.. So we progressed to tie our home two studios together via the internet some 1500 miles apart and record it. We did the last section in German for fun. Lyle played the guitar, myself doing the vocal and Pat doing the Mixing & Mastering we gave it a shot and this is the result. Simply for fun, but mostly to wish all our friends & Family the Happiest of Holidays and our hope you all stay safe in these complicated times. Merry Christmas !!!
